Our All Star Team and culture are paramount to our success. If you’re passionate about People and Culture and believe in the key role it can play in driving sustainable growth and outcomes then this is an exciting opportunity to put your passion into action. The Chief People + Culture Officer partners with the CEO and collaborates company-wide to continue to build and evolve StellarAlgo’s unique culture and align its People processes and programs to our purpose and business goals.  This role will support the CEO in leading the evaluation, development, and implementation of best-in-class people strategies.  

This role leads the People team and function at the company to attract, retain and motivate our roster of All Stars to continue to make StellarAlgo an employer of choice and a workplace where talented people can build both their careers and be part of building something transformative together.  You will be strategic, an idea generator, excited to pilot and test new ideas, and highly collaborative, working with internal partners across all our business functions as a trusted partner and advisor. 

What You'll Do 

• Collaborate across the company to guide, cultivate and operationalize StellarAlgo’s unique culture which plays a key role in our continued growth and company success 
• Develop and implement the People Plan that aligns to StellarAlgo’s purpose and strategic plan 
• Lead the People team and function that includes strategy and planning, creating and implementing People programs, processes and guidelines to support sustainable business growth, guiding and mentoring the people team and running all aspects of People operations 

• Act as the lead on employee and workplace issues and escalations, resolving challenges in a way aligned to our culture  
• Be a participative member of the executive leadership team and contribute to business decisions, strategy and the sustainable growth of the company 
• Play a key role in working with the CEO, VP Finance and Team Stellar to create, communicate, monitor and update the Strategic Plan and OKRs 
• Develop, monitor and regularly report on key People performance indicators and take appropriate action to achieve business objectives 
• Ensure that diversity, equity, inclusion and a sense of belonging are firmly embedded within the People strategy, policy and practice and that the value of differences is realized company-wide 

• Collaborate to create community investment and ESG initiatives and programs that are impactful and right-sized for our stage 
• Participate in annual organizational goal setting and contribute to budget preparation and strategy 
• Be accountable and responsible for the development, achievement and evaluation of the People team and departmental strategies and objectives 
• Lead the annual compensation review process from end to end and continue to improve our approach 
• Take the initiative on the future of workplace strategy and aligning StellarAlgo’s approach, processes and practices with business objectives and talent imperatives 

• Oversee employer brand and recruiting and implement initiatives to establish, promote and raise the profile of StellarAlgo and to continue to attract top notch talent 
• Guide employee engagement and experience implementing programs to continue to make StellarAlgo a workplace of choice 

What We're Looking For  

• Experienced People leader, ideally who has led the People and Culture function in a scale-up stage company 
• Strong functional skillset with breadth across the People/Human Resources function and employee lifecycle (Employer Branding, Recruiting, Orientation, Experience and Engagement, Performance Management, Offboarding) 
• Proven track record in a dynamic, growth company environment 
• Proven People/HR experience at a senior level of leading and inspiring a successful People team while also bringing a measure of business acumen to the role 
• Strategic understanding of People agendas and best in class practices covering attraction, recruitment, performance management, employee engagement, talent management and organizational design, change and development including culture change and evolution 

• Experience in developing and embedding people-focused strategies to deliver on business objectives 
• Significant experience of leading organizations, senior managers and teams through organizational change, driving a performance culture and developing high performing leaders, employees and teams 
• Proven ability to understand & contribute to the creation of budgets, and to manage budgets effectively
