Save the date for TAP Network’s next EDIB Hub Lunch ‘n Learn Tuesday, October 3rd, from 12:00-1:30pm PT | 1:00pm - 2:30pm MT | 3:00-4:30-pm ET.
As part of our ongoing commitment to promoting diversity and inclusivity in the workplace, TAP Network is excited to announce the upcoming event "Disabilities Employment Awareness Lunch & Learn" on October 3rd, 2023, from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM. We are eager to shed light on the recruitment, retention, and development of individuals with disabilities, both visible and invisible, while fostering an environment of psychological safety for self-disclosure. Gain insights into the anticipated regulatory changes from a National perspective, alongside the “Accessible BC Act” with experts in the space.

Carol Simpson - CEO of Focus Professional Services Inc. providing IT services to organizations throughout BC. Her company specializes in software testing services, IT placement and contract services, and neurodiversity consulting services to organizations in the Greater Vancouver area. She is a leader in IT neurodiversity in British Columbia. As a single parent, she knows autism, having raised two adult sons on the spectrum. She knows IT through 30 years of background in companies such as IBM and CGI in always upwardly-mobile positions, managing annual budgets of over $50M and teams of 60+ IT professionals.

Marco Pasqua - Award-winning Entrepreneur, Accessibility Consultant and Inspirational Speaker with Cerebral Palsy. Throughout his life, Marco has been involved with a number of organizations as a spokesperson, helping to spread advocacy for persons with disabilities across Canada. As an Accessibility and Inclusion Consultant, he has worked with some of the biggest change-driven business leaders who are champions for more accessible, inclusive workplaces. It's through these experiences that he is helping to pave the way for all Canadians to have universal access to the programs, services and places that they live, work and play.

Trish Kelly - Managing Director, Untapped Accessibility Trish is a purpose-driven leader with over two decades of experience helping organizations operationalize their social goals. As an accessibility subject matter expert, she has supported Canadian organizations, including nonprofits, private, and public sectors, in fostering accessibility and inclusivity.

Yat Li - Senior Accessibility Consultant, Presidents Group Yat is a Senior Accessibility Consultant with the Presidents Group/Accessibility BC, with expertise in the Accessible BC Act. Yat will discuss how organizations can be accessible employers and provide insights into the forthcoming regulatory standards.
